| Landsker House Access Statement
Parking area is accessed through a farm
gate, which requires opening at the entrance onto the main road. Although
feasible, this would be awkward for a wheelchair user on their own.
A large flat compacted gravel area provides easy and ample parking.
Paths from the car park to Landsker House
are about 60m long with a gentle gradient and no steps or ramps. Whilst
accessible for wheelchair users, care may need to be taken for those
who have difficulty walking, as the surface is slightly uneven because
of the local stone paving finish. Lighting operated by sensors ensure
it is lit when used at night.
Front door The door has a 800mm clear
opening with a 100mm high threshold.
Ground floor accommodation comprises a large open plan kitchen/dining/living room. There are no
steps or thresholds between these areas.
Kitchen/ Dining room has all appliances
and storage located under or on the worktop, with the exception of plates
and crockery kept in cupboards above. There is ample space for moving
around this area, although no space is provided under the worktop for
wheelchair users
Garden is flat and has a combination
of grass and stone paving . It is accessible from the front door.
Playground has a large level grassed
area, accessed by a grass ramp. Wheelchair users may find this difficult
to use, especially in wet weather.
Games room has flush access through double
doors, with ample space around the pool and table tennis tables.
Pets are welcome, but please ensure they
are kept under control for the sake of other visitors.
